The fourth model in Canon's Sure Shot series, released in July 1985.
Fully automatic 35mm camera using a near-infrared beam for autofocusing. Manual focusing of close-up subjects as near as 45 cm is also possible. The viewfinder displays information such as parallax correction marks for close-ups.
The exposure and aperture are controlled electronically with a program. There is no self-timer. The camera came in two colors: Black and red.
This is quite rare, some kind of unheard of Canon point & shoot.
You’ll find taking the time to shoot an average point & poke once in a while a very enjoyable experience. Once you realized a few facts about its function, you can quickly become very intrigued by its potential!
The joy of it all of course is that whilst the Canon Sprint an undoubtedly basic camera, sometimes these basic cameras are designed be so basic that they become abundantly useable and MACRO feature of this camera is excellent.
